Our Story
Back in 2021, we had a God-appointed meeting with a young man from Ghana named Gift Tettey. In that meeting, Gift shared that due to a lack of resources caused by poverty and geographical location, pastors near him are teaching wrong doctrines to their congregations. His passion and desire was to get resources in the hands of these men in the form of Study Bibles that would allow them to study Scripture properly. This impressed us so much that together we hatched a plan to get as many Study Bibles to pastors in need as possible and Sharing the Word Ministries was born!
THE NEED
Gift shared that, too often, pastors in developing countries don't have access to the biblical tools and resources we take for granted. To help people learn about Jesus, these pastors try to teach God's Word to others without any basic training or even access to a Bible. With one Study Bible, a wealth of training and knowledge is at their fingertips to help them better understand scripture and teach it to others impacting their communities.

Many pastors in our country who do have a Bible revealed that they find it difficult to understand things they read without helpful tools like a Study Bible. But now that these pastors in Togo have received these Study Bibles from Sharing The Word Ministries, they are ready to study the Word and teach it well. These Bibles have intensified our devotional life, had a positive impact on our interpretation of the Word of God, and given us a better understanding of what we are reading. We pray that the Lord blesses this project so that more pastors will benefit from this generous and most profitable gift of life, allowing them to better evangelize their communities!"

THE PLAN
Over the next couple of years, we worked with Gift to get over 500 Study Bibles overseas to Ghana and into the hands of Africa pastors in the trenches of ministry. We would ship the Bibles to Gift in Ghana, and Gift would distribute them around the country. These Study Bibles were put into the hands of needy pastors in any way possible, sometimes through the bush on motorbikes. God has done a great work already with pastors testifying that the Study Bibles have intensified their devotional life, had a positive impact on their interpretation of the Word of God, and given them a better understanding of what they are reading!
THE ASK
The work is not finished, though, because we believe God wants us to raise millions of dollars to reach every pastor without access to the simple resources of a Study Bible! We want to bless each pastor and their community across the globe with Study Bibles. Our starting goal is to see 1200-1500 Bibles sent to Ghana to reach the needy pastors in that country of Africa. This will take around $50,000 to accomplish by the end of the year. Would you consider giving to help us reach our goal?
